高知に自然史博物館を

　前回ご紹介した靖国事件についてである．
　動画に英文の字幕を入れたいという趣旨で，「米国からの便り」さん

が翻訳を公募？している．そこで，たわむれに英語訳を作ってみた．状況を動画ときっちり突き合わせてないので，見当はずれの箇所もあると思う．この点を必ず検討したうえでご利用ください．絶対このままで無批判に使わないようお願いします．

Ｐ氏、二人の警官と共に靖国通りに出る。タクシーに乗車しようと試みる。警官は「危ない、あぶない」という。Ｐ氏を拘束するつもりはなさそうに見える。
Mr. P. walked out to Yasukuni Street. Two policemen followed him. Mr. P. tried to take a taxi. One of the policemen warned saying "Be careful!" At this point it seems that the policemen had no intention of arresting Mr. P.

Ｐ氏靖国通りの向こう側に行き、これで紛糾は無事終了と思われたが、チャンネル桜のカメラが執拗に追いまわす。肖像権侵害を訴えて、
（Ｐ氏）「そのカメラ許可ありませんね」
Mr. P. crossed the Yasukuni Street, and the trouble was apparently ending. However, Channel Sakura's camera still continued to follow him, consistently. Mr. P. pointed out that this was violateing his human right.
Mr. P: I did not give any permission to that camera.

そこに警官が5、6人現われ
（警官）「もうちょっとだけ・・・」
といいながらＰ氏の行動を規制する。警官の到来と共に追っかけてきた連中が騒ぎだす。明らかな状況変化。
Five or six policemen appeared now.
Policeman: Let them take your picture a little bit more.
Saying so, a policeman touched Mr. P., trying to stop him speaking.
Other people who followed Mr. P. began to complain. The situation was obviously changing.

（Ｐ氏）「それはいけません、（撮影の）許可ありません。パーミッションはないです。」
Mr. P.: This is not good. Filming me needs my permission.

警官たちは、Ｐ氏に体をおしつけるチェックシャツ男を排除せず。
（囲衆）「ファシスト！」
（水島総）「ファシストなんだこいつは」
A man with a check-striped shirt pushed Mr. P. with his body.　The policmen did not keep this person from doing so.
Crowd: Fascist!
Mr. Mizushima: He is a fascist!

P氏、自分のカメラを構えようとする。
（Ｐ氏）「みんな止めないから、私もやめない
（水島総）「止めなくていいさ」
Mr. P. shows his own camera, demonstrating that he can also take a photograph.
Mr. P: If you don't stop filming me, I will take your picture.
Mr. Mizushima: That's OK.

自称チャンネル桜社長水島総、居丈高に、
（水島総）「さあ答えるんだ、なんで邪魔するんだ、私達の集会を。」
水島はまた警官達に虚偽を吹き込んでいる。
Mr. Mizushima, who calls himself as the president of Channel Sakura, said triumphantly:
Mr. Mizushima: Now answer my question. Why did you try to destroy our meeting?
Again, Mr. Mizushima told a lie to the policemen.

警察隊の「Ｐ氏拘束方針」を察知したか、いっそう言動が居丈高になる。
Now Mr. Mizushima was more radical, as if he recognized that the policemen were arresting Mr. P.
（水島総）「逮捕しろ！　逮捕！」
（囲衆）「念書を出させてください」
水島総は警官の肩越しにＰ氏に向けて手を出す。
（警官）「あぶない、あぶない。壊れちゃう」
（水島総）「壊れちゃってもしょうがない！　我々のところでやってるんだよっ」
Ｐ氏のカメラは壊して当然だという暴言である。
Mr. Mizushima: Arrest him. Arrest!
Crowd: Make him write a letter of apology.
Mr. Mizushima tried to touch Mr. P. who was behind a policeman.
The policeman: Don't do that. You are destroying his camera.
Mr. Mizushima: That's OK. He is doing this in our place.
Mr. Mizushima's words suggested that there was no problem if he destroyed Mr. P's camera.

　ここまで書いて，「訳はセリフだけでかまわない」と「米国からの便り」さんが書いているのに気づいた．むむむっ．
　次回はセリフだけにしよう．
