★神の雫　第7の使徒対抗ワイン★Amon Ra［2003］　アモン・ラ　2002　CP94

これは凄い、凝縮と言うより濃縮ワインです。丁子やグローブのオージー香はありますが、好いワインです。

天候に左右されない力のあるワインでした。

濃いのですが、エレガントですね。十分当り年のラトゥールと戦えるワインです。

ただこのワイン一人で一本は飲めませんね。濃過ぎです。

pp評価も高く95点です。オージーシラーズの強さを引き出した傑作と言って良いと思います。

個人的にはスタンディッシュの方が好きですが・・・・・

TASTING NOTE

ボトリング直前に試飲をしたこの素晴しいシラーズはバロッサバレー地区の北エベニーザにある樹齢98年～110年の畑から収穫した葡萄で作られた。15ヶ月ほどアメリカンオーク　ホッグスヘッドとフランス産の樽を使用。　若手の生産者ベン・グレッツァーによる最高のできである。アカシア、グラファイト、ロック、ブラックベリー、カシス、スモークと共に最高に濃縮されたテイスト。そこには清純さと独特感もあり、フィニッシュは60秒以上だ。フィルターをしないワインなのでこのテイスティングノートは正確なものだと思う。

The flagship offering, the 2002 Shiraz, is produced from 90- to 100-year-old dry-farmed vineyards that yielded a microscopic .25-1 ton of fruit per acre. Aged 15 months in 100% new American oak barrels and hogsheads, its inky/purple color is accompanied by tantalizing aromas of charcoal, acacia flowers, blackberry liqueur, blueberries, and cassis. This deep, full-bodied, smoky, rich, full-throttle Shiraz is remarkably well-balanced as well as intense. Give it 1-3 more years of bottle age, and drink it over the following 10-15.

The 2002 Barossa Shiraz (from yields of .5 tons of fruit per acre) was fermented in both French and American wood, left on its lees during malolactic as well as for three months after. Aged in 100% new American oak, it will be bottled without filtration. The inky blue/purple/black color is accompanied by aromas of creosote, scorched earth, black as well as blueberries, creme de cassis, and subtle vanilla. The extraordinary aromatics are followed by a wine of size, power, great richness, delineation, and amazing depth as well as intensity. The finish lasts more than a minute. This exquisite 2002 is one of the most compelling offerings I tasted in the overall impressive performance of the 2001 and 2002 South Australian vintages. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2020. This is a wow-wow wine!
