今シーズンになって、お気に入りのショートブーツを履いたのですが、先週の金曜日の買い物時に多少の違和感はあったものの、帰宅してからいつも通り、ブーツの手入れをして靴箱に収納しようとしたら、何と靴底が半壊状態で、我が目を疑いました。自分ではとても大事にしていたつもりなので、ショックで仕方ありません。靴底がクッション性のあるモルタル風な材質なので、亀裂が入るとボロボロと形が壊れていきます。今までに靴の修理は何足かしてもらいましたが、今回のような靴底は修理ができるのかどうかちょっと不安でしたが、一応相談してみようと思い、そのブーツを車に積んで出かけてみました。ここ最近デパートへ足を運ぶ回数は激減していたのですが、以前利用したことのある駐車場に隣接した靴修理のサービスは、移転ではなく無くなっていました。私が思い当たる場所はもう一か所あるのですが、今回は方向が違うのでまた出直すことにしたのですが、何年か前まではもっと気軽に持ち込むことが出来たし、修理の所要時間も１～２時間もあれば出来上がっていて、お値段もリーズナブルだったと思います。靴修理技術者が不足しているのか、利用者が少ないのかどうかわかりませんが、とても残念です。新しく便利の好い所が見つかればよいのですが、人出にも影響しているのではと、ふと思いました。今は社会的にも、使い捨て時代からリサイクルの方へ方向転換しているはずだと思うと、便利な修理屋さんは増えてもよさそうなのに、これも腑に落ちないことの一つです。

when I got home and tried to take care of the boots and store them in the shoe
box as usual, the soles were half-destroyed and I doubted my eyes. I thought I
took great care of myself, so I can't help but be shocked. The sole is made of
cushioned mortar-like material, so if it cracks, it will break its shape in
tatters. I've had several pairs of shoes repaired so far, but I was a little
worried about whether I could repair soles like this one, but I thought I'd
consult with them for the time being, so I loaded the boots into the car and
went out. Recently, the number of visits to department stores has decreased
sharply, but the shoe repair service adjacent to the parking lot that I used
before has disappeared instead of being relocated. There is another place that
I can think of, but this time the direction is different, so I decided to go
again, but until a few years ago, I was able to bring it more easily, and the
repair time required was 1 ~ 2 hours, and I think the price was reasonable. I
don't know if there is a shortage of shoe repair technicians or if there are
few users, but it is very disappointing. It would be nice to find a new and convenient
place, but I suddenly thought that it might also affect the number of people.
Thinking that society should be shifting from the throwaway era to recycling,
it seems that the number of convenient repair shops could increase, but this is
also one of the things that does not make sense. Thanks again this time!
