時空の旅わくわく日記

　写真は、2009年1月11日に撮ったビエンチャン中心部のメコン川岸の景色です。
　今では、護岸工事が行われ、川岸が整備され道路と公園になっていますので、写真のような光景はありません。川岸のたくさんの屋台とビアラオと夕陽のセットは、これぞビエンチャンと思っていた景色だけに、護岸が整備されてしまい残念です。
　川岸からタイは目と鼻の先ですので、川岸で、タイの方を見ている子供や若者たちをよく見かけました。
　乾季になると、川岸があらわになり、あっという間に、畑になってしまいます。川岸のレストランの料理人が、ちょこちょこと出て来て、畑の野菜や草を急いで採って、チャーハンの具などにしている光景も時々見かけました。
　川岸の屋台で使うのか、販売しているのかわかりませんが、炭もよく見かけました。ラオスの炭は、日本へも輸出されていて、時々、ラオス備長炭の箱を日本の焼き鳥屋で見かけることがあります。（続く）
