最近、後半にコピペしたような脅迫メールが流行り始めたそうです。
私にも届きました。

”文字列”と書いた部分が私が実際にネット上で使っていたパスワードですので、少しビビりました。

「お前のPCにマルウェアをエロサイトを通して送り込み、お前の操作からパスワードを知っているし、エロサイトの閲覧もキャプチャしている。
どんなエロサイトを見ていたか、お前の知り合いに知らされたら恥ずかしいだろう。
特に恋愛関係の相手に知られたらどうなる？」

まあ、要約するとそのような内容です。
それを避けるには、ビットコインで２０００ドルを払えと言っています。

メールは毎日数通届いていまして、２０００ドルから７０００ドルまで、払わなくてはならない金額はバラバラです。

どのメールも猶予は一日と書いています。
しかし無視をしていたところ、連日新しいメールが届きます。
そのたびに猶予は一日となっています。
エロサイトの閲覧状況を知り合いにばらまくなら、さっさとやって欲しいのですが。
どのようなサイトを見ていたのか、私も興味があります。

というわけですが、実際のところ過去にメールアドレスとパスワードを登録したサイトがハッキングされ、その情報を使ってメールをばら撒いているいるようです。
そのような情報がネット上に出ていました。

どのサイトから漏れたかというのはわかりません。
ただ、１０年以上前のサイトではないかということです。
いまでは使っていないパスワードで脅迫されているとの情報からの推測だそうです。

確かに私も現在では新しく使用していないパスワードでした。
恐らくかなり昔に海外のソフトを購入した際登録した内容が漏れたのかなと思います。
しかし、現役で使用中のサービスにもそのパスワードを使い回し（良くありませんね）ていますので、すぐにパスワードの変更をしました。

ちなみにこのブログも同じメールアドレスとパスワードだったと思うのですが、もう何年も前からそれでは入れなくなっています。
たまたまパソコンに記憶させていたアドレスでログインしています。
このパソコンが壊れたらと思うと心配になります。
正しいパスワードを逆に教えてもらいたいものです。

さて、脅迫メールはいつまで届くのでしょうか。
