過去には気にしたことがなかったけども、 毎年ユダヤ人の国ではクリスマスと西暦の新年に対して問題が出ているのですね。 アメリカのユダヤ人はそれを上手に商売として活用しているけど、 ここは本場ユダヤ人の国、イスラエルですからね。  実際、クリスチャンがハヌカやユダヤ新年を祝うことは、滑稽で、 確かに米国大統領のオバマ氏もハヌカもお祝いしていたのは社交辞令であるだけで、 またアメリカクリスチャン側としても金持ちユダヤ人との関係を考えると ハヌカを祝うことは・・・・・ （やっぱり世界を牛耳っているユダヤ人だよねぇ～  ）。White House says did not 'downsize Hanukkah' Yitzhak Benhorin Published: 09年12月12日, 09:17 / Israel News US statement says Obama invited similar number of guests to annual Hanukkah gala as predecessor Obama sends Hanukkah greeting to Jewish people Yitzhak Benhorin Published: 09年12月11日, 21:02 / Israel News US president says Maccabees 'remind us that faith and perseverance are powerful forces that can sustain us in difficult times and help us overcome even the greatest odds'  しかし、キリスト教徒が、イスラム教徒が、キリスト教の国が、イスラム教の国が、 ユダヤ人の祭りごとを楽しむかと言うと?? イランやシリアでイスラム教徒がそんなことをやったら・・・どうなるだろうか? それに歴史的なことを考えてもユダヤ人がキリスト教徒の祝日を祝うことは プライド的にも許しがたいことだと思う。 いくら商売的でもいくら世俗的な感覚であったとしても。 数十年前まではキリスト教になった日本人を毛嫌いしてたのに、 今では商売を超越して、とんでないスーパーイベントとなってしまった。 クリスマスセールも、クリスマスプレゼントも、クリスマスケーキも、 クリスマス特別何とかというのも個人的には大歓迎です。 クリスマスイルミネーションもディスプレイもとてもきれいで素敵だとも思います。  が、が、が、 宗教というものを無視することが出来ないイスラエルという国にいると、 どうも日本のクリスマスに違和感を感じてしまって仕方がない。 というか、長くイスラエルにると12月はハヌカ、というのがインプットされてしまった。 以前は年末のこの時期になると日本のクリスマスが懐かしくも思ったものだ。 クリスマス時期のベツレヘム観光に約7万人を期待してる。 イスラエルの観光省の期待もわかるが、ベツレヘムはパレスチナ地区よね。 早く仲直りして双方の観光売り上げを作りましょうよ!!! 08年12月25日：クリスマスにはベツレヘムへ行こう！を参照。 Tourism minister: High Christmas turnout expected in Bethlehem Published: 09年12月16日, 15:11 / Israel News Israeli Tourism Minister Stas Mesezhnikov says he's expecting about 70,000 tourists to head to the town of Jesus' birthplace next week. The "Lobby for Jewish values" this week began operating against restaurants and hotels that plan to put up Christmas trees and other Christian symbols ahead of Christmas and the civil New Year. According to the lobby's Chairman, Ofer Cohen, they have received backing by the rabbis, "and we are even considering publishing the names of the businesses that put up Christian symbols ahead of the Christian holiday and call for a boycott against them." Fliers and ads distributed among the public read, "The people of Israel have given their soul over the years in order to maintain the values of the Torah of Israel and the Jewish identity. "You should also continue to follow this path of the Jewish people's tradition and not give in to the clownish atmosphere of the end of the civil year. And certainly not help those businesses that sell or put up the foolish symbols of Christianity." The Jerusalem Rabbinate also works each year to ensure restaurants and hotels receiving kosher certification from the Jerusalem Religious Council do not put up Christian symbols. According to a senior official in the kashrut department, this is done each year consensually, but that businesses which do not meet this requirement may find their kashrut certificate revoked.
