ドメーヌ・ルネ・ロスタン　コート・ロティ　1999年　フランス　コート・デュ・ローヌ CP94

非常に美味しい癒し系ローヌです。10年経って完熟です。まだまだ持ちますが、美味しいです。

シラー用のグラスは使用しない方が良いです。リーデルのシラー用のグラスはオージーワインやニューワールドのシラーには合っていますが、ローヌの一流ドメーヌのワインには全く向きません。この事はプロのベテランソムリエでも知らない人が多いです。ピノノワール用のグラスをお使い下さい。この手のローヌは本当に飲み方を含めて知られていないので可哀そうです。

ブラインドで出したらこのワインがローヌのシラー100％だと思う人が何人いるでしょうか？シラー＝濃いスパイシーなワインと言う間違ったイメージが植え付けられていますが、多くのトップドメーヌの熟成したワインを飲むと非常にピノノワールに近いワインだと言う事が分かると思います。

どうしてこうなったかと言うと、ローヌと言えばギガルとシャプティエを飲んで分かった気になっている人が多すぎるからです。実は昔の私もそうでした。安いローヌや手に入りやすい大手のローヌしか飲まないと、濃くてスパイシーなワインで終わってしまうのです。

エレガントでチャーミングで癒し系のワインが沢山埋もれているのです。ちょいと濃い目のピノを飲みたいときにうってつけのワインなのです。ボンヌ・マールやシャンベルタンを高い金を出して買わなくても、ピノの特級クラスの凝縮感や厚みを、三分の一以下の価格で楽しめます。

レストランのワインリストもローヌを馬鹿にしたものがほとんどです。ブルゴーニュよりも安いランクと思っているので、若くて重い、濃くてスパイシーなワインがリストに数品並んでいるだけです。

多くの有資格ソムリエさんが、お客さんが求めていないのでローヌのワインは置きたくないと言う有様です。隠れた名品を掘り出して売るのが仕事なのですがね。

このワインは92点ですが、同じヴィンテージの上級キュべがパーカー100点だったのも頷けます。

セクシーなワインです。 去年飲んだ時より熟成は僅かですが進んでいます。素晴らし芳醇な香りと、エレガントな味わいに魅了されます。6500円が安く感じる一本です。

深く濃い澄んだルビー色、プラムや熟れた黒いベリーの香り、獣、革、赤身肉、ハーブ、味わいは太く逞しく甘いタンニン、品の良い優しい酸、鉄分を強く感じます。非常にバランスが良く、喉越しもよく、飲み飽きしないワインです。

流石コート・ロティのトップドメーヌのワインです。

This is a dry vintage port-like Cote Rotie. It possesses extraordinary intensity, brilliant harmony, and a staggering bouquet of violets laced with other flowers (paperwhite narcissus come to mind), blackberries, cassis, vanilla, and a touch of honey. The wine is unctuously-textured yet remarkably well-defined, with elegance married to intense concentration as well as an extremely long finish, this is one of the most profound and seductive Cote Roties I have ever tasted. There are 500 cases of this nectar. Anticipated maturity: now-2018.

A dense ruby/purple color is followed by a profound bouquet of blackberries, cassis, violets, pain grille, and honeysuckle. Thick, chewy, and intense, with enormous volume yet an uncanny sense of elegance, this viscous, super-concentrated 1999 possesses both fabulous persistence and remarkable definition. A tour de force for Cote Rotie, it is likely to be completely consumed before it reaches full maturity ... it's that seductive. Anticipated maturity: now-2015.

Wine Advocate # 140 Apr 2002 Robert Parker 92 Drink: 2002 - 2022 $47-$66 (68) The 1999 Cote Rotie Cuvee Classique (14,000 bottles produced) is a brilliant example that should age well for 15+ years. Its sexy concoction of jammy black fruits intermixed with violets, acacia flowers, cherry liqueur, and creme de cassis jumps from the glass. The wine is exotic and nearly port-like, with sweet levels of glycerin coating the mouth, low acidity, and fabulous concentration as well as purity. It is impossible to resist, but it will last for two decades.

Wine Advocate # 133 Feb 2001 Robert Parker (91-93) Drink: 2001 - 2013 $47-$66 The 1999 Cote Rotie Cuvee Classique reveals a dense purple color as well as a smoky, blackberry/cassis-scented nose with a hint of flowers. Fat, with low acidity, a viscous, opulent texture, and an immensely flattering, disarming personality, it is gorgeous to drink now, and should last 10-12 years. Because of its concentration, low acidity, and high glycerin/alcohol, it will be irresistible young.

ご存知、パーカーポイント100点を連発するランドンヌ、ブロンドを擁するコート・ロティのトップ・ドメーヌ。

「小さい頃は収穫の手伝いをさせられるのが嫌で嫌でたまらなかった。
コート・ロティは急斜面で作業が厳しいからね」と笑うルネ氏が、このドメーヌの名声を一代で築き上げた。

1971年にフランス革命以前からアンピュイ村でワインを造ってきた親族と夫人の祖母の畑をまとめる形でドメーヌを設立し、定年を迎えた親族の畑を次々に相続することでドメーヌを拡大してきた。

特に叔父のマリウス・ジャンタズからテュルク等古木を持つ畑を相続したことは大きい。現在所有する複数の区画から「コート・ブロンド」「ヴィエレール」「ランドンヌ」の3種類のコート・ロティとスタンダードなコート・ロティ、コンドリューのボネット、5種類のキュヴェを造る。

但し、ヴィンテージによって品質に納得できないときはヴィエレールやランドンヌをスタンダードなロティにアッサンブラージュして、リリースすることも多々ある。ラベルにも描かれドメーヌのシンボルとなっている小屋は戦前に建てられた。

鮮やかな人目を引く屋根の小屋は、コート・ブロンドの中腹からローヌ河の岸辺にあるドメーヌを見守っている。
